• Kills and REPELS ticks on dogs for 8 months. If a tick is repelled or killed, it cannot attach to your dog and transmit organisms that may cause disease. The Seresto Flea & Tick Collar for Dogs kills ticks within 48 hours of initial application. Reinfesting ticks are repelled and/or killed in as quickly as 6 hours.

The Seresto Flea & Tick Collar for Dogs controls pests with Flumethrin (an acaricide proven to repel and kill adult ticks, larvae, and nymphs) and Imidacloprid (an insecticide proven to repel and kill adult fleas, larval flea stages, and lice). Seresto's unique polymer matrix enables it to release controlled doses of its active ingredients, both of which are well tolerated in dogs.

The Seresto Flea & Tick Collar for Dogs releases its active ingredients only after placement on your pet. Once the collar is on your dog, the active ingredient molecules migrate from the Bayer polymer matrix within the collar to form a microlayer on the collar surface. The active ingredient molecules then transfer from the collar to the lipid layer of your pet's skin and hair. Water-resistant, consistent protection

Because the Seresto Flea & Tick Collar's active ingredients originate in the polymer matrix, the collar is water- and weather-resistant. You do not need to remove the collar before swimming or bathing. Seresto also remains effective after exposure to rain or sunlight. However, frequent swimming or bathing (more than once a month) reduces Seresto's control duration from 8 months to 5 months for fleas and to 7 months for ticks.
