This can be troublesome, but definitely not as bad as giving the pills back to back. I would recommend monitoring for now because there is a low risk that this will cause any acute kidney problems. Here is an excerpt from their safety tests:
" Daily doses of 1X and 3X therapeutic levels for 6 months and 2.5X given twice daily for 42 days caused no clinically significant abnormalities (other than vomiting)."
Just make sure your cat has plenty access to water and I would giving the next doses after 24 hrs time has passed, if it is needed and only with your vets approval first.

He should be fine, but just ensure he is eating and drinking. If you notice any dark tarry blood in his stool then contact your veterinarian. My main concern would be a gastric ulcer but that is unlikely to happen with one doubled dose.

According to the product info for robenacoxib (Onsior) you are to call your vet immediately if an overdose was given. Unfortunately an overdose can cause serious effects on the kidneys. If you cannot reach your veterinarian, please call an out of hours clinic or Pet ER.
