My 5 month siberian husky has started coughing. Could you give me a bit of advice on what it could be and is it some I should be worried about? ?

Coughing has many causes and some are serious but most of the common causes in puppies are not. Infectious coughs such as kennel cough, parasitic/worm infections and upper respiratory infections are very common and alongside a good quality worm dose and some rest these would be expected to resolve in 5-7days. If he has a reduced appetite, is not playful and active or pants after light exercise, has any nasal discharge, fever or pain on gentle compression of the chest he should be assessed as soon as possible by a vet to rule out significant chest infection, airway disease or even heart problems although these are rare in puppies birth defects can occur in any animal as they do in people.

The most common condition in young dogs causing coughing is an infection called Kennel cough. as it is a viral infection there is no treatment and the condition usually resolves within a couple weeks.
If the cough is too severe , take him to the vet to get cough medicine and make sure this is not something else such as a lung infection.
