Hi my dog is limping on her front left paw but isn't in pain she is her normal self but is limping but she hasn't done anything to it ?? HRLP

Limping is always a sign of pain. She may have strained her leg or paw or shoulder when jumping up or from the couch or bed or even from running to fast. She may also have a thorn in her paw or an infection. I suggest you have a vet examine her if the limp does not go away within 2-3 days.

If she previously walked normally and is now limping then there is definitely pain and discomfort in the leg or paw, most likely from accident, injury or infection. Bathe the foot in saline or dilute chlorhexidine to disinfect any tiny wounds that may be present and rest her for up to 48hours (short lead walks only) to allow any soft tissue injury to improve. IF her condition is worsening or there is no improvement she will need to be assessed by a vet to diagnose the injury and initiate pain medication. A chiropractor or acupuncturist may be able to provide relief if the pain is originating in the neck or spine

If she is limping there is some level of pain. I would bring her in for an exam. Your vet may elect to try some anti inflammatories and rest, or proceed with X-rays. Either way, your vet will help her to be more comfortable
