I use NexGard for ticks but I found a dead tick on my dog. Should I be worried?

Oral medication for ticks won't be able to stop a tick from biting for-say. Because the bite happens so fast the medication has to at least get in the ticks system (typically 5-10 minutes) before it kills the tick, but the important thing to note is that it has to bite first. But the product is designed to stop the life cycle and kill the tick before any disease transmission occurs (generally takes more than 1 hr of a blood meal to occur).
If you want a product that is better in repelling ticks then I would stick with the Seresto collar (flea and tick preventative) or Preventic collar (only tick preventative).
