Switched to Retriever from Tractor Supply. Two days later our Lab couldn't walk, for three days. Switched to something different,improving. Dog food?

Typically a simple food change should not trigger the type of symptoms you saw in your dog. As Dr. Edwards mentioned below, it is common to see some mild and typically self-resolving GI signs. However, if a food causes neurologic signs or severe weakness as you noted, the food is likely contaminated or adulterated. Without knowing the exact food you fed I can't tell you exactly whether a problem with that food has been reported but it may help to research that using this:

Changes in diet can trigger intestinal signs such as colic, vomiting and diarrhea or constipation which could explain some pain and reduced activity but you would expect other signs also. Report your concern to the manufacturer as they may wish to investigate
