I used Hartz ear mite drops in my cat's ears, but she is scratching at her ears more now. How can I wash the chemical out of her ears?

• I discovered my dog drinking out of a bucket of really gross dark green water outside. He was throwing up for a few days. I’ve since removed the bucket of water and he’s stopped throwing up.
