Hello my dog got neutered 10 days ago and I'm a little concern because part of his area is a little red and I'd likely know if it's normal or not?

If Baby has been licking at the area, it can be a little red. As long as there is no swelling, and it isn't hot to the touch, it should be ok. If it is swollen, red, and hot to the touch, the suggests infection, and Baby should see the vet as soon as possible.

It is not uncommon to have some mild redness. Monitor it and if it gets worse or you notice any discharge or swelling than call your vet and have him seen.

By now the incision should have healed and there should be no swelling, redness or pus. If the red area is hot and painful, you should take him back to your vet for a recheck. If it is just a little red, but not swollen or painful, then observe for another week. When in doubt , see the vet for a recheck. Do not let your dog lick the area.
