He may not be feeling well. Since these are very unspecific signs, there is no way I can tell you what may be wrong , if anything is wrong. If Aragog is still unhappy on Tuesday, better take him to a veterinarian for an exam, possibly a blood test. If Aragog is getting lethargic, or otherwise deteriorates, then you should take him to a vet or Pet ER right away.

First off, I love your cat's name! I'm a big fan of Harry Potter. Any change in behavior should be investigated by your vet. It can be an indication that Aragog is suffering from a medical illness. Not eating as much is also a sign he isn't feeling well. I would monitor him for now since it's the holiday weekend (if you are in the US), and take him into your vet first thing after the holiday. If he begins throwing up, has diarrhea, becomes extremely lethargic, or stops eating and drinking completely, take him into a vet immediately. I'd be happy to consult with you to find out if he has any more symptoms and offer more advice if you'd like :-)

I'm sorry to hear that your cat isn't feeling well. Decreased appetite and hiding, or avoiding social contact are common signs of illness in cats - unfortunately, they are very vague symptoms so it can be hard to know what is going on without more information. I would recommend having Aragog seen by a vet - he/she can do an exam and possibly check some blood work if needed to help determine the problem.
