My pit bull has bloody tears coming from one eye, this has never happened. Is there anything I can do to help him? I know it is hurting him.

Reddish or bloody tears could be caused by bacteria in the tear fluid. This is not always a serious infection, and reddish tears often happen in white dogs. If your dog squints the eye or blinks often then there is likely an injury or a seriosu infection and your dog needs to be seen by a veterinarian. The vet will throughly examine the eye and do some diagnostics and then prescribe medications necessary to relieve pain and the infection. Please take him to a vet ASAP.

It sounds like your dog may have injured his eye, or he may have an infection causing bloody discharge from the eye. I would recommend having him examined by a vet as soon as possible - he/she can do a thorough eye exam to determine the problem and prescribe medication to treat it. In the meantime, you can try rinsing out the eye with plain saline eye wash and cleaning the discharge with a damp washcloth or cotton ball to make him more comfortable.

The best thing you can do for King is take him to a vet. He could have sustained trauma to the eye causing the bloody tears, or he could have a serious eye infection. Any issues with eyes should been seen by a vet as soon as possible because leaving diseases of the eye untreated can lead to vision loss. And you are right, it will be hurting him. Take King into your vet as soon as possible.
