It sounds like your Dachshund may have an inflammation of the bowel or some type of gastrointestinal upset. Remove the food from her bowls and limit the dog to just water for twelve hours. Make sure your dog has plenty of water to drink, to avoid dehydration. After 12 hours, offer a small meal of cooked chicken and white rice. This will be your dog's diet until the stool consistency returns to normal. If the diarrhea continues for more than 24 hours or you start seeing blood in the stools, call your vet immediately.

It could be a bout of colitis, especially if she recently ate or was fed something she shouldn't have eaten. Withhold food for 12-24 hours. Resume feeding a bland diet (plain, boiled boneless chicken and plain white rice) in small, frequent amounts until the stool is normal. Transition slowly back to the original diet. If it continues or you see bloody stool, see your vet. Monitor her diet to determine the cause and eliminate the offending item to minimize future episodes.
