With the rise of temperatures, I realized my dog is breathing faster and louder than usual. Is this normal? If not, what should I do?

Dogs will pant more to release heat in hot temperatures. The problem is that dogs can become overheated and become susceptible to heat stroke. Heat stroke is a serious, life threatening condition in dogs. Other signs to look out for include excessive drooling, increased body temperature, red gums, rapid heart beat, muscle tremors, and seizures among others. If you see any of these symptoms in your dog, you must take him to a vet immediately. For now, make sure your dog always has plenty of fresh, cool water, do not leave him outdoors for long periods of time in the heat, and have a cool dark place for him in the house to cool down.

It is normal if it gets really hot. Keep him in a cool place, in a space with air conditioning would be ideal, if you don't have a/c a fan will do. Change his water to cold water every few hours.
