Unfortunately giving a pet with CHF baby aspirin is not advised without seeing your pets bloodwork and doing a complete exam. Baby aspirin is ok in certain situations, but can only be prescribed by your veterinarian who has done the things mentioned above. We are legally unable to instruct the use of any over the counter NSAIDS or medications for your pet.
Also I will add here that most of the pets that I have treated for CHF have not had any use for baby aspirin, which is a blood thiner and can be used in some cases for musculoskeletal pain. However there are many other safer products to use for musculoskeletal pain, such as Rimadyl/Carprofen, Meloxicam, Gabapentin or Deramaxx. Please discuss this with your vet and I am sure you'll can come up with a medication to treat the symptom you are trying to treat with your pet.

No you should not use baby aspirin for Holly unless specifically prescribed by your vet for her. Generally dogs are not at the same risks of blood clotting and stroke type incidents as humans are and for most CHF patients any benefits of aspirin are outweighed by the risk, especially in such a small dog. Contact her vet to discuss her history and risk factors
