Ollie may be chewing his tail, paws, and scratching his ears from fleas, allergies, mites, or ringworm. Ollie needs to be at least 6weeks of age before you can use the spot on treatments Revolution or Advantage. You will have to disinfect the environment if Ollie does have fleas. I recommend taking Ollie into your vet to determine the cause of the itching, and how best to treat it. Your vet can diagnose fleas with a flea comb, mites with skin scrapings, ringworm with a Wood's lamp, and allergies with blood tests.

Mites and fleas would be common causes of itching and skin irritation in young puppies. You should apply a good quality spot on medication such as advocate or revolution and should get him examined by your vet if it does not improve after 72hours
