Zoey will have to stay quiet and rested for 10-14 days while she heals. It's very important to keep her quiet so that she doesn't develop post op complications like a seroma, which is a fluid filled swelling. She should wear an Ecollar the whole time to prevent her from licking and biting at her stitches, and she should not be bathed or swim until her sutures are removed 10-14 days after surgery. It is normal the night after surgery that a dog may not want to eat and will want to sleep more, but she's should be back to eating normally by the next morning. Your vet will provide discharge instructions detailing what you need to do and to keep her rested and quiet. You will have to inspect the incision site a couple of times a day, and if you see any redness, swelling, or it becomes hot to the touch, then she will need to go back to the vet as she has an infection. I would expect a recovery time of 10-14 days for Zoey. Good on you for getting her spayed!

I generally request 7-10 days of reduced activity and rest. Being spayed is a major abdominal surgery. While dogs are remarkably tough, it is good to be cautious and keep her quiet while her surgical incision heals. Additionally, some major vessels are ligated during surgery, and too much activity could lead to bleeding into the abdomen in the first few days of recovery.

Inmost cases your dog will be quite drowsy and tired on the day of the surgery, on the day after she might be a little sore but I would expect her to be more or less back to herself. Usually within 3 days, if she does not suffer from any complication she should be fully recovered, the surgical would will take about 10 days to completely heal.
