My 3 month old puppy nibbled on some philodendron leaves. Should I be worried?

Philodendron is toxic to dogs. Chewing or biting on the leaves releases crystals which penetrate tissues resulting in injury. Clinical signs may be seen immediately, and include pawing at the face (due to oral pain), drooling, foaming, and vomiting. Moderate to severe swelling of the lips, tongue, oral cavity, and upper airway may be seen, leading to difficulty breathing and swallowing. If you see any of these signs, take Jasmine into your vet immediately. If you have a philodendron plant in your house, I would remove it or place it somewhere up high where she can't reach it.

Chewing or biting into the plant releases the crystals of calcium which penetrate tissue resulting in injury. Clinical signs may be seen immediately and include pawing at face (secondary to oral pain), drooling, foaming, and vomiting.
Moderate to severe swelling of the lips, tongue, oral cavity, and upper airway may also be seen, making it difficult to breathe or swallow.
If you notice any of these signs I would recommend an immediate veterinary check up.
