Will it be safe for 9 month dog to have paracetamol 500mg on high fever or what should I do to give him a relief ?
-
No it is not safe to give your dog paracetamol! It can be toxic to dogs, and I do not recommend giving it to your dog. If your dog has a fever, it's important to find out what is causing the fever. Fevers in dogs can be caused by infections, inflammation, heatstroke, and toxins. I recommend taking your dog into your vet for an exam, especially if his fever is high, such as above 104 (normal dog temperature is 101.5-102.5, and a fever is a temperature above 103). If he has a low grade fever (103), you can try to bring the fever down yourself by apply cool water (not cold!) to his fur, especially around the ears and feet. Using a fan on the wet fur will bring the temperature down, but be sure to monitor it closely, and stop once his temperature reaches 103. You don't want to bring down his temperature too quickly. Make sure he drinks small amounts of water on a regular basis to stay hydrated.

Please don't give Acetaminophen (Paracetamol) to your pet. Acetaminophen can be quite toxic in pets and can have deleterious effects that in some cases are irreversible.
If your pet has a high fever then masking it with any over the counter pain medication used in people is not a good idea due to the high potential for toxicity. It is best to get your pet seen immediately by a veterinarian for proper testing to understand why your pet has a fever. A bacterial infection is the #1 reason why pets are feverish, and giving him an NSAID won't help his condition but instead will prolong him getting the proper treatment that he needs. So please take him in asap, at the very least they can start him on antibiotics, if he is deemed to have an infection.
Also you have to keep in mind that a fever in pets is the body's natural way to ward off infection, so just lowering the fever is not a good thing in most cases, because you are essentially lowering the body's own defense mechanism against pathogens in the body.

You should not use any medications without a prescription from the treating vet, especially human medications as these are not formulated for use in dogs. Paracetamol runs a risk of side effects especially liver damage and could not be recommended in a puppy. If he is unwell you should arrange for an emergency consult or contact your regular vets office for advice if he has been seen for this problem in the last week or so

No this is not safe. I would contact your vet right away. Lowering a fever with pharmaceuticals is one thing, but figuring out why the fever is there in the first place should be your primary concern.

DO NOT give your dog any form of human medication without directions from a vet, especially aceteminophen or ibuprofen. These drugs are not processed by a dog's body the same way we do and will cause stomach bleeding, liver and kidney damage. The reason for the fever needs to be determined by your vet and they will prescribe whatever medication is required to help relieve your dog's symptoms.
