To be a vet do you have to be in advanced math classes or can you just do really well in the normal math classes?

Well you would have to satisfy the requirements of your school for a Bachelors of Science Degree, which usually means you have to complete math classes all the way through Calculus. Check with your guidance counselor to make sure these are the requirements for your school to satisfy the Mathematics section for your Bachelors of Science Degree, because this may vary slightly from school to school. As far as Veterinary School is concerned they are going to look mostly at your Bacehlor's of Science degree and science related courses, including animal nutrition and comparative anatomy.

To get into vet school, I had to take both calculus and statistics, which can be considered advanced math classes. You will have to do well in all your classes (biology, physics, math, etc) in order to get into vet school.

Most vet schools require at least one college course in calculus or above to apply, so you will need to take fairly advanced math classes by the time you get to college in order to be eligible. But in high school, as long as you do well in your math classes, it should be fine to take whichever ones you like :)
