Kitten with diarrhea panics when he has to poop, starts running around like crazy.Sometimes leaks.Mostly stops at random place and poops on floor. Why?

It is probably because he has the urge to defecate from the diarrhea and he is not able to hold it. He could have a parasite, infection, gastritis/enteritis, IBD, etc. You could take a fecal sample to your vet and have them test it for parasites. You could also change him to a bland diet, like Low residue, and add a probiotic to his diet (Fortiflora or Proviable) and see if that helps. If it continues than he should be examined by a vet for treatment.

Poor Lucky! More than likely, the urge to defecate is so strong from having diarrhea that he has to go right away, no matter where he is. He simply doesn't have time to make it to the litter box. In kittens, the most common cause of diarrhea is worms. If Lucky isn't up to date on his worming treatment, he will need one from your vet. I recommend Drontal. If he is up to date on his worming treatment, this diarrhea could be caused by a change in diet, GI illness, eating something rotten, or a foreign body. Withhold food for 12 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If the diarrhea continues on the bland diet, he starts vomiting food, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, he will need to see a vet right away.
