My dog was just coughing/gagging almost like dry heaving for about 5 minutes. He now is taking short, shallow breaths while lying down. And he is kind of sneezing, breathing almost like a wheezing/snoring breath.. His gums are pink. I'm not sure if this is an emergency? Or what is going on?

• Higgins started making the awful crunch noise this past November. He’s only making it when he’s sleepy, sleeping, or waking up.
