Fluconazole does not cause seizures. A reported side effect can be jaundice, which can be caused by liver failure, but overall it has been found to be a safe drug in dogs. It has the fewest adverse side effects compared with other anti-fungal drugs used for dogs.

Your dog could have a reaction or side effect to any medication that he takes. Although the risk is usually low, there is always a risk of side effects when giving medications. If your dog is healthy than the risk is probably very low and the benefit of taking the drug for a yeast infection would outweigh the risks. If you are concerned, than you should talk to the vet who prescribed the medication but the likelihood of it causing a life threatening side effect is probably very low, especially if your dog is healthy.
