My dog has brown discharge coming from her vagina area

If your dog isn't spayed, I would be very concerned that she might have a pyometra. A pyo is a life threatening infection of the uterus that requires immediate treatment. Without treatment, it is fatal. I would take your dog into the vet now. The vet can a physical exam, routine blood tests, a urinalysis, and possibly an x-ray to diagnose a pyometra. If she does have one, one of the recommended treatments is to spay her. Please take her into a vet now.
