My pit bull has a uti and I have started her on 1/4 of a pill of Bactrim 800-160 per day, how many days should I continue without over medicating?

Please do not try to treat Little Bit's UTI yourself. It's never recommended to self treat your animal, as you may accidentally do harm to her. In addition, it is illegal for me to tell you any dosage information for that drug. That's because doing so requires a veterinary client patient relationship which cannot be achieved via an internet forum. In addition, the experts cannot say for certain if a specific drug is safe for your dog. I would have Little Bit seen by a vet as soon as possible. The vet can confirm she does have a UTI and can prescribe medication for her.

I'm sorry that Little Bit is having urinary problems! Unfortunately, it's illegal for the veterinarians at PetCoach to recommend any specific medication or give dosing advice for any pet without an exam. Bactrim is a prescription antibiotic that should only be given if prescribed by a veterinarian. I would recommend taking Little Bit to the vet for an exam tomorrow morning. He/she can do a urinalysis to determine whether or not she needs an antibiotic, and will also prescribe an appropriate medication to treat the problem if needed.
