My dog hurt her foot and is in extreme pain to walk. Can I give her prednisone, or colonel, or ibuprofen, or oxycodone. What milligram for dose. She is about 7 year old lab & pit bull mix. But she has some kind of skin condition that makes skin flake off and it doesn't very flood, but not horribly bad. I give high quality food and add meat grease or oils to her food to condition her skin. But I don't want medicine to make skin worse. Her injury is getting worse, she has had it about a week.

Excessive flaking (exfoliation) of the skin can be frustrating to deal with. Your vet should have ruled out all the secondary causes, including skin infection, mites, ringworm, and some endocrine disorders. If these tests were all normal then Sheabear likely has a primary exfoliating dermatoses. You can try to give her a vitamin A supplement to see if that will help. Also be careful not to pverbathe her. You can also have your vet test her for allergies and prescribe appropriate anti-allergy/steroid medications. Good luck! I hope Sheabear is feeling better soon.

Unfortunately we cannot give dosages online, but none of the medications you listed would be appropriate for a foot injury. It is important to rule out fractures with some radiographs and then your vet can prescribe an anti/inflammatory that will also help with pain.
