That picture is adorable!! I love it :-)
This is a great question! A dog's gestation can be between 58-68 days with an average of 63 days, so I would not start being concerned until Lizzie reaches 68 days pregnant with no signs of puppies. At this point, I would take her into the vet.

Hello. I have an issue with my 8-year-old English Cocker Spaniel. After some mild coughing, the vet found a throat irritation but also said that his heart had grown bigger (DCM). He said that the growth is not that big and put him on medication, but I wanted a second opinion. I attached a photo of the x-ray
Hello and thank you for using Pet Coach! Based on the radiograph you attached, the vertebral heart score (VHS) is on the larger measurement and overall the heart does have increased contact with the...

Just found this small pimple on my 2yo cockers spaniel upper lip. Honestly could be there for quite some time as it's barely noticeable when not knowing what you're lookin for. Anything to worry about, or just wipe the area with chlorhexidine wipes and keep an eye out on it ? Some kind of dog acne ? Isn't hurting him when I touch or squeeze it.
Thank you for contacting PetCoach with your question about Frodo and for providing a picture, it's very helpful. I see what you mean about the bump, it could be canine acne, but it could also be a...

My female corgi chichihua is pregnant and I fear that she is not going to be able to have the pups because she is showing signs of labor as in whining, restlessness, shivering I believe she may have lost her mucus plug three days ago because she had a clear stringy mucus like gunck on her hind leg. Her belly will harden and then get soft the puppies are fully active how can I tell for sure that she is in active labor? She has been having these signs for about one week now except pups being activ
Thank you for contacting PetCoach with your question. I would check LaeLae's body temperature using a rectal thermometer. A dog's normal temperature is between 101-102F, and if a pregnant dog's...

My cat (Dsh, female, 3 years old) ate pieces of aluminium foil 48 hours ago. The day after I checked on her stool and there were two small pieces there, the same day later I took her to the vet to get an X-ray which showed many little pieces of foil. They gave me something to give her every 8 hours in order to help her poop them out. However her poop this morning had blood in them and there were no signs of foil, she hasn’t poop since even though I give her what I was instructed to.
Hello, thank you for using PetCoach.Often when there is foreign material in the GI tract motility will slow down so I would not be surprised that she has not passed more stool. The blood is likely...

My dog always kind of snores when he breathes - what are signs of unhealthy breathing?
Hello, thank you for using PetCoach. There is no way for me to tell you if Iggy's "snoring" is a problem or not. I suggest you take a video of him breathing (making the noise) to show to your vet....

Hello, my Orange tabby cat Ravioli who is 4 years old, about 13lbs. Has been having a watery left eye for about a week. There are no other symptoms. He is eating and drinking. What should I do? Should I be concern?
Hello, thank you for using PetCoach. If he is squinting the eye or the white part of the eye is red, then there could be a scratch on the eyeball. In this case he needs to see a vet.If he is not...

My English Cocker is being treated for an ear infection. Antibiotic, 2 more days of prednisone and gabepentin for pain. 2 day recheck with vet shows his ears look better but still very lethargic. He has another follow up appointment tomorrow but because he has zero appetite for food for nearly 48 hours now, should we take him to our MedVet location today or wait for our follow up appointment with our regular vet
Hello, thank you for using PetCoach. I'm sorry that Bear is having this issue.Yes, I do think you should take him to MedVet today as an urgent appointment. Typically steroids (like Prednisone)...

Hi, my lab has a lot of lipomas which we have had tested and are not cancerous. He does have this new spot (which I know is not a lipoma) that started as more of a pink/red spot and then changed to pretty much the same color as his skin so I thought it was healing, but is now hard, its only maybe the size of a pencil eraser. Should I be worried?
Ouch! Any new change should always be checked out by your vet, especially if it's different from any other growths seen on the body. Skin tags and other growths can sometimes cause pockets of hair...

My 9 week old puppy has very soft stools w/ red jelly-like substance in it & stool is light brown. Stool has been like this for last 8hrs She eats 3x/day. Each meal consists of kibbles & a little bit of white rice. One meal includes a small portion of raw ground beef. My puppy is still playful when she’s awake & maintains her appetite. Sleeps intermittently throughout the day for 2-4 hrs at a time. No signs of distress such as lethargy/vomiting. What is causing the red mucus in her stool?
It looks like there is blood in Kika's stool. This could be caused by intestinal parasites, which are very common in puppies and also causes soft stool. It could also be the raw beef you are...

My cat has signs of gingivitis. Will it hurt her if I start to brush her teeth? She had a teeth cleaning with the vet last year, but her gums are already a little red and slightly inflamed again. I hate the idea of putting her under anaesthesia unnecessarily, so can I try to do something at home? I’ve tried gels and plaque off, neither seem to keep it at bay. She eats dry food only and seems to have no pain or issues eating (she’s very healthy otherwise) Thank you!
Thank you for contacting PetCoach with your question about Cassie. I think it's a great idea for you to start brushing her teeth, and that can help with the gingivitis. Be sure to use a pet...

Adult spayed female dog bites and licks her vulva frantically for about a half hour, at just about the same time of day, almost every day. Vet has found no problem, but has primarily been looking at anal gland issues.
Hello, thank you for using PetCoach. It is very difficult to say what is going on. A problem with the anal glands is certainly a possibility - sometimes the dog knows something is not right back there...

Are these just hairballs my cat is daily throwing up, or is he ingesting something like yarn? He's bad to chew and swallow strange stuff, but we can't find what the source of these might be. You can see that his stomach contents have to come up when these gobs are in there, so he's not getting enough nutrition. One of the pellets shown is pretty solid, and the other is squishy. What to do?
It is ot possible to identify the source from the photo but your vet may be able to examine to confirm if it is indeed cat hair or synthetic yarn. I would recommend feeding a diet formulated for hair...
