My 70 pound pitbull ate an ibuprofen about an hour ago what should I do? Should I take her to a vet

If she only ingested one OTC 200 mg pill then it is below the toxic dose and shouldn't cause a problem, unless she has some underlying kidney or liver disease. Call your vet and let him/her know that she ingested an ibuprofen and the exact amount that she ate. Depending on her medical history and the exact amount, your vet may want to start her on a gastrointestinal protectant, antacid, and/or may want to check some blood work.

In dogs, an acute exposure of 50-125 mg/kg can result in gastrointestinal signs (vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, anorexia), > 175 mg/kg can result in more severe GI signs (hematemesis, melena) plus kidney damage (PU/PD, oliguria, uremia). Doses of > 400 mg/kg in the dog result in GI, kidney, and CNS signs (seizure, ataxia, coma).
I'm not sure which formulation/dosage your dog had, you can do the math and decide if he needs to go to the emergencies or if he is on the safe side.
