Hello, 1 year old male dog ultrasound showed bladder wall thickening, has blood in urine. Urine culture negative for bacteria. Vet's next step is tissue biopsy. Do bacterial infections always show in cultures? Is the only remaining diagnosis cancer?

• My cat has had digestive issues since I adopted her 2 months ago.
