My vet said my 17 pound dog could have up to 1800 Mg. Of sodium from all sources per day. I'm just curious to how this would look for a dog that weighs 100-200 pounds? Can anyone answer this for me. I've seen dry foods that range up to 2% sodium dry matter basis. Is this a safe level for any dog including bigger dogs? I know the minimum is .33% dry matter basis.

• Higgins started making the awful crunch noise this past November. He’s only making it when he’s sleepy, sleeping, or waking up. I thought it was teeth grinding but to be safe I brought him to the vet and they checked his teeth, said he has a little bit of plaque but over all looked good.
