I've just found a lump on the side of my dog's chest 3 hours ago and it keeps getting bigger. When I touch it, it isn't hard. On google it says the lump might be a limpoma? But if it is i thought it normally takes time to get bigger. The bump suddenly became quite large within an hour. Can it be an allergic reaction or something?

This could be a cyst which is a fluid filled mass, it could be an abscess which is one that is infected, or could even be something called a mast cell tumor. It could also be a site of an allergic reaction. If it continues to get bigger it needs to be checked out by your veterinarian today. I would not apply anything like a warm or cold compress or any appointment at this time. If it stops growing but does not go away it needs to get checked out by your veterinarian sometime within the next few days.

Lipoma's don't grow at this rate, nor are they commonly seen in a pet this young. I would have to guess that this may be a seroma or an abscess. You should get Coco to a vet quickly to have this area assessed and drained (if needed). Also another possibility is an inflammatory reaction to a bug bite, so yes an allergic reaction is also possible. All things which would require a vet visit to treat. I hope that Coco feels better soon. Take care.
