My cat has a sore on the side of his nose should I be worried?

This could be from an injury or fungal or bacterial infection. I recommend you gently clean it with antibacterial soap and rinse it well. It should heal in a week or so. If not please bring Nemo on for a veterinary exam and they may do a skin scraping to determine the cause. Then they can prescribe the appropriate medication. Please wash your hands well after touching Nemo because this could be ringworm which is a fungal infection that you could get from him. Thanks for using PetCoach to help you care for Nemo.

Poor guy. This looks like it could be either a bacterial or fungal infection. I would consider getting this checked by your local vet, especially if it has been there for more than a few days and/or Nemo seems bothered by it. It likely needs medicaiton to get this to heal well. Cats that are able to go outside often get fungal infections easily, and the sooner you treat for them the quicker the recovery. The vet will be able to test the area to see if this is fungal or not. I hope Nemo gets this resolved soon. Best wishes and take care.
