I have a pitbull puppy and she has these bloody patches on the back of her neck and under her neck.....now she is attached to a non retractable leash. I don't know how much of that is to do with what I am seeing on her. But the red patches bleed and then scab up. Also she has been having blood in her stool lately. What could all this be. She eats dry dog food in conjunction with table meats. Is this a reason why?

Hello, sorry to hear about Remi. If the areas of hair loss and scabbing are only around her neck where her collar sits I would worry that the collar is causing the irritation. She however, could be having another kind of allergic reaction which may not have to do with her collar. The blood in the stool can be associated with some sort of hypersensitivity including allergies or it could be due to something else.
I would keep her collar off for a few days and apply neosporin on the areas of irritation. It should clear up within a few days. You can also try and get her a new kind of collar made of different material.
I would only feed her they dry food for a 2 weeks and see if that resolves the blood in the stool.
If none of these are helping I would then have her evaluated by your veterinarian to rule out other kind of skin diseases and other causes for a blood in the stool. Hope this helps and best of luck.
