I found my dog licking a packet of sugar free chewing gum (containing xylitol.) the edges of the packet were still folded over most of the chewing gum and only the corner of one piece looked nibbled on. My dog seems fine, it has been 35 mins and she is playing and walking around the house. How long until I can I be sure there are no signs of poisoning? She is a miniature schnauzer/toy poodle and weighs approx 6kg.
