How much activated charcoal for a 70lb dog that ate 275grams of milk chocolate? I live an hour from town and we don't have a vet on call. I do have charcoal on hand.

The published dose is 1-3 grams/kg of body weight. Mocha weighs about 32 kilograms (kgs). It is best to administer within one hour of ingestion for maximum effect. Doses may be repeated every 6 hours if necessary. Ideally, you should try to contact your veterinarian or a local vet for confirmation. Do not administer if Mocha is showing signs of toxicity (tremors, hyperactivity, vomiting). The amount ingest may pose a mild to moderate risk of toxicity. Seeking veterinary attention would be the first recommendation and would be strongly recommended if she is symptomatic or becomes symptomatic.

My dog had an infected sebaceous cyst for months, and an abscess near it too. I took him to 4 veterinarians and each prescribed antibiotics. None of all helped my little buddy, and he didn't get better at all. I did labs for him few days ago for culture and sensitivity of pus and a doctor prescribed meropenem SQ 500mg every 12 hours. I discovered my dog drinking out of a bucket of really gross dark green water outside. He was throwing up for a few days. I’ve since removed the bucket of water and he’s stopped throwing up. My cat has had digestive issues since I adopted her 2 months ago. They have improved dramatically over time, but she still has semi-regular gas and seems to be in mild-moderate discomfort from day-to-day.
