My dog has diarrhea, no vomiting, no loss of appetite

Hi. Thank you for using PetCoach. Teddy is a handsome fella. There are many causes of diarrhea in dogs. Parasites, dietary indiscretion or infections could all cause diarrhea. I would recommend having Teddy skip one meal, then feed 1/2 of his normal portion about 8 hours later. If he still has diarrhea, then it may be time for a vet visit to assess what is causing it.
I hope Teddy is back to normal quickly. You marked this answer as helpful, we appreciate your feedback

If the diarrhea just started you can try taking your dog off food for about 12 hrs, then feed bland food such as boiled rice with boiled white chicken meat in small quantities over several feeds a day,. Do this for a day, then start replacing small quantities of rice with his normal food over the next two days until he is at the normal quantity of his regular food. If the diarrhea does not go away by the end of the third day, or your dog is lethargic and dehydrated, you will need to take your dog to a veterinarian for an exam as he then may have an infection and needs medication.
