Can dogs get auto-brewery? Our dog gets crazy after he eats and sometimes he gets all wobbly and pukes. When this happens he runs around like crazy for an hour then passes out. Today I thought I smelled alcohol on his breath as he was freaking out. We don't give him alcohol but I think he's got brewer's yeast in his gut from licking beer bottles. He loves the taste of beer and licks the tops of our beer bottles. I think he could be metabolizing ethanol from the carbs in his food.
