My chicken is making a gagging/yawning motion repeating 5 or 6 times in a row then repeating every 5-10 minutes she’s not making a noise and she doesn’t appear to be in distress she’s in a roosting position on her person I’m worried what could this be?

Some birds can do that as a normal behavior when food is adjusted in their crop while digesting. You may see them swallow and look like they're going "aaah" for a moment and then return to normal activity. Making sure Dotty is on a balanced diet that is easily digestible can help. Some parasites may also cause crop issues, so using a dewormer to clear any suspected parasites may also help. If you suspect there may be something stuck in her crop or throat such as a foreign body or obstruction, having a vet take a look in person and removing it is best.
If the behavior doesn't seem to bother her and she is otherwise normal and healthy, I would just keep an eye on her and make sure she continues to eat, drink, etc. You can check her crop to see if it is normal looking, isn't oozing anything, or isn't swollen or seemingly painful. If she does begin to act ill, is actively gasping or gagging and in distress, or seems to have an issue with her crop, vet care should be sought ASAP.
