I adopted a 9yo female siamese cat about a month or so ago. She’s very overweight (weighing at 16.5lbs on my human scale) and a nervous cat. She plays some, but not much. I’ve noticed tonight that she is going to the litter box a lot but nothing is happening (I cleaned it earlier). She’s still eating, drinking, and acting her normal self. Is there anything I should look out for? Thank you.

• Higgins started making the awful crunch noise this past November. He’s only making it when he’s sleepy, sleeping, or waking up. I thought it was teeth grinding but to be safe I brought him to the vet and they checked his teeth, said he has a little bit of plaque but over all looked good.
