My dogs skin is flaky, scaly, and his hair is thinning. He also has what appear to be black skabs in spots and some yellowish flakes. His back, shoulders, and tail are the worst. It doesn't seem to bother him as he's not biting or scratching the affected areas, but he does occasionally bite the top of his paws. He doesn't feel greasy and there is no noticeable oder.

• Higgins started making the awful crunch noise this past November. He’s only making it when he’s sleepy, sleeping, or waking up. I thought it was teeth grinding but to be safe I brought him to the vet and they checked his teeth, said he has a little bit of plaque but over all looked good.
