My 2 yr cat was hit by a car & had 2 pelvic fractures. After 24 hours, he hadn't urinated. Under anesthesia, the vet wasn't able to straight cath him but his bladder was getting smaller with manual expression without urination. It appeared to be urethra trauma and the decision was made to euthanasia. I am second questing my decision because he was alert and vital signs WNL. My question is: wouldn't he be unstable if he had urethra trauma/rupture?

• Higgins started making the awful crunch noise this past November. He’s only making it when he’s sleepy, sleeping, or waking up. I thought it was teeth grinding but to be safe I brought him to the vet and they checked his teeth, said he has a little bit of plaque but over all looked good.
