In the article for ‘5 Tips to Stop Excessive Barking’, it mentions distracting your dog to get them to stop barking. In what ways should I do that? I don’t want to give my dog any rewards for barking and I feel like calling her over could be confused as a reward to her for every time she decides to bark at the door or neighbor.

• Higgins started making the awful crunch noise this past November. He’s only making it when he’s sleepy, sleeping, or waking up.
