How can I protect athenas pads on her feet from the heat? We recently moved back to Louisiana and the heat is getting to her paws. I just bought her “paw nectar” off amazon is that good enough? She has snow shoes and socks from when we lived in the cold, should I put that on her? She LOVES to be outside but it’s getting so hot. She always has access to water and shade Should I keep her inside and let her paws heal? Usually they are ruff and black. now they are grayish and soft.

• Higgins started making the awful crunch noise this past November. He’s only making it when he’s sleepy, sleeping, or waking up. I thought it was teeth grinding but to be safe I brought him to the vet and they checked his teeth, said he has a little bit of plaque but over all looked good.
