My cat took buprenorphine (vet prescribed) for two days because she had a huge hairball inside of her and she couldn’t get it out so it caused her pain (she managed to vomit it at the vet afterwards). She’s been smacking/licking her lips and swallowing randomly since she started taking this medicine, today she took the last dose so she’s still showing it’s effects. Why is she smacking/licking her lips and swallowing like that? Could it be from the medicine? She’s never been like this

• Higgins started making the awful crunch noise this past November. He’s only making it when he’s sleepy, sleeping, or waking up. I thought it was teeth grinding but to be safe I brought him to the vet and they checked his teeth, said he has a little bit of plaque but over all looked good.
