I suspect my cat has cat acne, but now it seems she has fleas as well. I've been using a wet towel to clean the black heads in her chin area. Her chin/chest area now become very dark rust-colored when wet - and I see specks (fur is still full looking). Why is it turning this color (flea dirt?) No fleas seen anywhere. How should I treat this until she sees the vet? I have chlorhexidine wipes and use it on the black spots. I also applied Advantage flea protection last night. Thanks for any help!
