Hi, I took my dog to the groomer today, and long story short they shaved him. I consented to the shaving, but I was completely unaware of the major cons to shaving a double-coated dog. I just wanted more information on the effects of shaving the double coat besides reading countless forums and blogs online and if there’s any way I can remedy this or avoid those bad effects? • I discovered my dog drinking out of a bucket of really gross dark green water outside. He was throwing up for a few days. I’ve since removed the bucket of water and he’s stopped throwing up. I am concerned however if he needs antibiotics or something in case there was a bacteria or parasite in the bucket of water.
