looks like my shih tzu has an interdigital cyst on the side of her paw. What can I apply on it till I have the appointment with her vet this week.

If the cyst is not bothering Kahlua and the skin over the cyst is normal, you shouldn't have to do anything other than keep an eye on it.
Is the cyst looks raw or Kahlua is licking at it, then there is some home care which can help protect it until it gets examined by the veterinarian.
The first thing you need to do is stop any licking (since this can make it worse). Kahlua should wear an elizabethan collar at all times. Remember that the collar must come out past her nose in order to be effective.
Next, wash the area once a day with either plain hand soap (like Dial) or a medicated pet shampoo. This will help to control the number of topical pathogens as well as remove oil and dead skin cells. Rinse the area well and gently towel dry.
Lastly, apply a topical antibiotic twice a day. Just a dab will do and rub it in well. Make sure the skin is dry before application. Neosporin is fine to use.
Since it's on Kahlua's foot, she needs to rest and avoid trauma so only short, controlled walks. Also avoid rough surfaces like dry grass which may cause further irritation.

My shih tzu is 14 yr old. He has a large growth on him back and lungs (I think) that has never bother him, so it was never removed. My dog had an infected sebaceous cyst for months, and an abscess near it too. I took him to 4 veterinarians and each prescribed antibiotics. My 12-year-old female Cocker has always been calm but now is deaf and recently had a bad UTI. She’s on antibiotics and thyroid medication and has dry eye, for which I put an ointment in her eyes. My cat has had digestive issues since I adopted her 2 months ago. Higgins started making the awful crunch noise this past November. He’s only making it when he’s sleepy, sleeping, or waking up. I thought it was teeth grinding but to be safe I brought him to the vet and they checked his teeth, said he has a little bit of plaque but over all looked good.
